Dyson Air Wrap: Worth the Splurge?
I always like to preface things like this with letting people know that I am (obviously) not a hair stylist or expert, and that these are just my own thoughts/opinions. That being said, I absolutely think the Dyson Air Wrap is a nice-to-have and not necessarily worth the splurge. I have fine hair, but a ton of it, and have found blowdrying/curling to be a non-starter for me. I’ve never loved styling my hair but I do find it to be easier with the Air Wrap! It’s expensive, so I recommend a payment plan (I went through Sephora and did AfterPay I think) if you don’t want to take the hit up front. A few things that I wish I knew before I bought it:
Figure out what type of hair you have, and which wand suits you best
The one that I bought (linked) has 2 short barrels, a flat drying brush, a rounded drying brush, and an additional blow dry attachment for your roots (blows cold air)
It isn’t easy to travel with as there are a ton of attachments and it’s a big tool
My everyday tutorial is linked on my Instagram (@gemsiloved) as I found it impossible to find someone who wasn’t a beauty blogger, to give me their honest everyday tutorial. In short, it makes it easy to style quickly and it’s great for a fast, light curl if you’re in a pinch. BUT I don’t know that I’d buy it again and I’m not sure I’d recommend it in full confidence to a friend. Let me know if you’ve tried the Air Wrap and what you think!
